About the Job
The BIM Coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing BIM standards, workflows, templates, and best practices to support multidisciplinary engineering projects. This role ensures effective coordination and integration of BIM models across design and engineering disciplines, oversees model quality and compliance, drives digital transformation through Revit-based processes, and provides technical support, training, and mentorship to project teams. The position plays a key role in improving collaboration, design accuracy, constructability, and overall project delivery efficiency.
Job Responsibilities
• Develop and implement company-wide BIM standards, Revit templates, Navis Templates, libraries, SOPs, and best practices
• Establish integrated BIM workflows from concept design through engineering coordination and construction documentation
• Lead the transition from AutoCAD -based processes to a Revit-first and Navis for schedule workflow
• Coordinate Penstock, Generator, Turbine, Electrical and Automation models to ensure consistency, constructability, and design integration
• Review BIM models for quality, completeness, clashes, and compliance with established standards
• Develop and maintain standardized Revit families, Navis templates, and BIM libraries
• Monitor BIM adoption and ensure consistent implementation across relevant teams and projects
• Identify workflow gaps and implement improvements to increase design accuracy and team productivity
• Provide technical guidance and resolve BIM- or Revit-related issues during project development
• Train and mentor designers, engineers, and drafters on Revit standards and BIM best practices
• Maintain BIM documentation and facilitate knowledge sharing across teams
• Collaborate with Design, Engineering, Scheduler and Project Delivery teams to support effective project execution
Technical Skills (Knowledge)
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in BIM coordination, Revit implementation, or design engineering
• Strong hands-on proficiency in Autodesk Revit across multidisciplinary projects
• Proven experience developing BIM standards, SOPs, templates, Revit families, Navis Schedule & 3D Modelling and project workflows
• Strong understanding of architectural, structural, and MEP coordination, clash detection, and construction documentation
• Experience leading BIM implementation, workflow standardization, or digital transformation initiatives
• Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM 360, Navisworks, or other BIM collaboration platforms
• Knowledge of ISO 19650 or other BIM governance standards is an advantage
• Experience in modular construction, prefabrication, or industrialized building systems is highly preferred

Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 4 years of experience in BIM coordination, Revit implementation, or design engineering
